Whether it be a light drizzle or a heavy storm, the pitter-patter of droplets falling on the window is a relaxing, soothing sound. During one storm in Seattle, Michael was sitting in his living room, watching the teardrop shapes cascade down his window panes. What ultimately inspired him was the way the sun lit up these teardrop shapes with magnificent colors after the storm had subsided. Michael incorporated this classic shape with his cast glass technique to interpret the way the sun struck the leftover droplets from the rain. By using the brilliant, vibrant hues of glass, Michael was able to create a rainbow of reflection with this collection.

Michael's work is notably unique in his process of cast glass, a technique not typically utilized in jewelry. Michael is able to capture bold colors and textures that make each jewelry design pop in glow with the glimmer of forever changing lights that hit the glass elements.
