Item # 3639BZ

Grown mainly in the Northern Hemisphere, there are over 100 species of pine trees to appreciate. These trees are considered evergreens because they remain strikingly green for more than one season! Once the pine needles fall off their branches, vibrant new needles promptly occupy the tree. One of the pine tree's classic symbols, the pine cone, produces both male and female variants that work together to make and pollinate their seeds. Cast directly from parts of the pine tree, this collection was designed to emphasize the beauty of this staple evergreen.

The Pine Needle earrings are cast in hand patinated bronze and accented with 24kt gold plated pine cones. The wires are 925 silver with a 24kt gold plating.

The Michael Michaud Jewelry Collection, designed by Michael Michaud, is a world renowned collection of botanical jewelry. It captures the beauty and exquisite detail of nature using soft patinas on bronze accented with pearls, beads, coral and stones. His exacting attention to detail gives you true to nature, botanical jewelry.

This unique jewelry is made by creating molds directly from botanical elements in a process similar to lost-wax casting. While traditional lost-wax casting begins with a hand-carved model of wax, Michael Michaud instead uses an actual leaf, branch or flower in place of the wax model. A mold is created around the botanical element and as it is heated the plant matter burns away and leaves behind a beautifully detailed mold of itself.

Michael Michaud Jewelry is renowned for its beauty and workmanship and is featured in the finest museums, galleries and speciality retailers around the world. Many collections are commissioned by leading museums such as The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The National Gallery of Art and the Château de Versailles.
